Workshop Topic: Science and Information Work programme
Workshop Objective: Seek direction from Elected Members to:
1. Acknowledge the Strategy and work completed to identify Tasman District Council’s science and information needs.
2. Forecast scenarios for Council’s science and information needs for the next Long Term Plan (LTP), accounting for risks, opportunities and value offered by the Strategy.
2. Workshop Material
This Workshop will provide an overview of:
o The Science and Information Strategy (the Strategy).
o Council’s unitary function and why we have a strategy.
o Drivers of Council’s science and information needs.
o Council’s knowledge gaps.
o Risks of not meeting drivers or filling knowledge gaps.
o Opportunities, value and direction the Strategy presents.
