CARRIED

5        Reports

5.1     Consideration of the 2025/2026 applications to the Community Grants and Community Consultation Funds

Community Partnerships Coordinator, Ms Panfylova, took the report as read. Ms Panfylova noted that she has included the category descriptions in the report and that funding for administration costs are limited and it is not clear how they should be applied. Salaries are eligible as part of the project they are doing, but not general salaries for their organisation to function. The Community Grants Review is underway and categories will be considered as part of the review. This is part of the policies that are reviewed every three years. We have a growing number of grant applications so we need to ensure that applications are treated fairly and meet the criteria.

Ms Panfylova has worked with applicants to ensure they can get the most from their applications.

The Subcommittee agreed that all applicants are eligible today for funds but any with overdue accountability reports will need to provide these prior to any further funds being dispersed.

Councillor Hill provided some feedback on the Community Grant applications via email and the Chair gratefully acknowledged this mahi.

Moved Deputy Mayor Bryant/Councillor Shallcrass
