5.1 Consideration of 10 July 2024 applications

The
Subcommittee discussed the applications and allocated the following amounts
to the Creative Communities Fund:

Gabriela Glapska - European Art Song Recital
The Subcommittee
considered the amount of $1,000 was appropriate.
Cathy Irons - Douce Ambiance
The Subcommittee considered
the amount of $500 was appropriate.
Dani Hedges – Artist in Residence
The Subcommittee
considered the amount of $1,000 was appropriate tagged to artist fees, panels,
brushes and fastening to the wall. On condition of getting a letter/email of
support from Rohan for fixing on the walls.
Dani Hedges – Empowering Women Mural
The Subcommittee declined this application
as it was a lower priority. The Subcommittee suggested this application be
refined and resubmitted later in the year.
Action:
Subcommittee Member Nicholls to liaise with the applicant about an
application to the Motueka Arts Council for 10 hours to help develop the
project further before reapplying to the Creative Communities fund.
Dani Hedges – Community Twilight Art Market
The Subcommittee considered the amount of
$1,000 was appropriate. The Subcommittee also recommended adding a stall fee
of $10, plus a donations box.
